Lurianic Kabbalah

Kabbalistic system developed by Isaac Luria (1534–1572) in Safed that became particularly influential in Eastern Europe in the late seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, and together with other kabbalistic schools influenced Hasidic doctrines. Though they do not lend themselves to concise summary, it can be said that Lurianic teachings focus on exile and redemption and on the human role in accelerating the progress toward the coming of the Messiah.
